Rooftop Micro Eco-Farming
On the rooftop of the 18-story Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Canada, herbs such as rosemary, lemon thyme and others grow within 17 growing beds and 23 containers. Rooftop gardening grew 80% in the United States. Special rooftops are built to accommodate very large sky-gardens, but once built, the gardens reduce air pollution in cities, help cut the greenhouse effect, and absorb excess city heat.
